Sophia Reck is a maker, content analyst, designer, and multimedia artist based in Brooklyn, NY. Her work includes computational and classic photography, graphic design, live coding performance, and social media marketing campaigns. She is currently attending New York University to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Digital Media with a minor in Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology.
Sophia works as the Head Teaching Assistant for NYU’s Innovation and Technology Forum— a course covering design thinking and inventive problem-solving. In the past, she worked as a Social Media Analytics Intern for NYU Tandon School of Engineering. Sophia is also a member of numerous organizations; including oSTEM (Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), ACM-W (Association for Computing Machinery- Women’s Chapter), and two auditioned NYU choirs. Her passions lie in sound design, interdisciplinary approaches to multimedia, and women’s and the LGBT community’s influences in art.
